Who Are We?
JRCRoofing is a family-owned and operated roofing contractor with over ten years of combined experience in the industry. Our goal is to ensure our Pennsylvania neighbors just like you have a quality roof over their heads that not only protects everything they own below it but that looks attractive too. We earn our clients’ trust by providing an honest and transparent relationship, quality workmanship, respectful service, and reasonable prices. When we leave the worksite, we make sure it is always left clean and free of debris. And that’s no song and dance!

When Should You Call JRCRoofing?
No roof lasts forever. Fifteen to twenty-five years of rain, snow, wind, and hail can all do a number on a roof. Even the sun’s UV rays beating down on it will cause damage as the years go by.
Short of a catastrophic storm that damages your roof, you’ll know it’s time to replace it if your shingles begin to:
- crack or bend
- if bald spots begin to form as a result of missing granules
- or worse if your shingles begin to break up and fall away
Additionally, if you begin to see moss growth or black streaks on your roof, that also may be a sign that you need to consider a replacement.
What To Expect From the JRC Team
Installing a new full roof, making repairs, or doing a partial installation doesn’t require a lot of fancy footwork. It just involves following tried and true steps that ensure a job well done–and keeping you, the homeowner, informed. Here’s what to expect:
1.
Once a date has been made to visit your home, we’ll come out and fully review the work that needs to be done. We’ll take the time to talk to you about the project and to completely understand your needs.
2.
We’ll assess all aspects of your existing roof, including the condition of your shingles, the flashing, the decking, the ridge vent, and the vented soffits. We’ll make recommendations for your project that will best solve your roof issues, provide you with the look you desire, and work to come up with a budget you can afford. We’ll put together a proposal that includes all materials (unless you inform us you are providing materials yourself), time, and labor required.
3.
After that, we’ll give you a few days to review our proposal and ask questions. Then if you’re pleased with our quote, we’ll schedule a start date. And if you have more questions? Keep asking. We want you to be completely comfortable with our quote. And we want you to understand the process.
Swap That Umbrella for Quality Shingles

Why Asphalt Shingles?
They're long-lasting
They're tough
They're easier to install than other shingles, which saves you on labor costs.
They provide good value for the money
They're naturally fire-resistant
They add beauty to your home
And they're waterproof!
Need we say more? We offer three popular types of asphalt shingles, including:

3-Tab "Strip" Shingles
Long before the advent of dimensional shingles, strip shingles were the go-to choice for new installations or repairs. Largely flat and made from a single layer of asphalt, they are lightweight and easy to install. They also come in a wide variety of styles and colors to complement every home. Because strip shingles are a single-layer construction, they cost less than other higher grade asphalt shingles. However, they also have a shorter lifespan.
How much shorter? The longevity of asphalt shingles depends on a number of factors, including the quality of workmanship, the climate you live in, whether or not your roof is adequately ventilated, and, of course, the materials used. On average, asphalt shingles should last 15 to 30 years with strip shingles coming in on the lower end of the cost spectrum.

Dimensional Shingles
If asphalt shingles are the most popular type of shingles in North America, then dimensional, also known as architectural shingles, are the most often chosen type. Dimensional shingles get their name from the way they are constructed, layers of asphalt fused together to create a multi-dimensional, textured look. Aesthetically, they appear much like wood shakes or natural slate roofing. These also come in a variety of styles and colors.
Dimensional shingles are far more durable than strip shingles and can last 30 years or even longer if they are installed with care and maintained. They do cost more than strip shingles, but they stand up better to the elements. Because of this, they come with a longer warranty than strip shingles.

Luxury Shingles
As the name suggests, luxury asphalt shingles are the best of the best providing the highest level of durability and protection for your home. Like dimensional shingles, luxury shingles are also designed with multiple layers that give your roof a highly textured, attractive appearance. They are offered in exquisite colors. They’re denser and more resilient. They’re heavier, too, coming in at two or even three times the weight of strip shingles.
Roofs built with luxury shingles are regularly touted for having 30-year lifespans with some lasting as many as 50 years. Not surprisingly, these shingles are the most expensive of the three, but they also offer the longest warranties.
Not sure which type of shingles are best for your project? We'll help you make the right choice that best suits your goals and your budget.
